Wife and I brought our sweet puppy in to be looked at for an unknown problem. These people refused to even see her on the grounds that we couldn't pay up-front. I tried telling them that I get paid tomorrow and that I would gladly pay the balance then... no dice, they refused treatment of a sweet innocent puppy because of money issues.
I love all the girls at animal medical center! Definitely taking my pets here forever! Kind and caring of my 4 legged best friends!!
Terrible experience!!! I took my puppy here in June to have surgery, and was charged for xrays that they can't seem to show me. I had her back in a couple of weeks ago for some issues. They seemed more interested in just getting money out of us than the care of my dog. She was needing to go back in today and they would not see her. Any place that is going to discontinue care in the middle of an issue seems shady to me. Don't take your animals here unless you are wanting to deal with sassy staff. This place will not get another penny from me and I will do my best to make sure the public is aware of the way they treat people that come in their door.
After about five more minutes of her arguing with me that I NEEDED to declaw my cat I promptly ended the conversation and have never returned. I took my business elsewhere.
I have NEVER before heard a vet tech recommend declawing out of the blue. She found out we had two Maltese along with a cat and she was INSISTENT that I immediately declaw my cat. I was shocked- declawing is illegal in SO MANY COUNTRIES because it is inhumane and quite painful for the cats. (It is amputation of the first digit despite what this lady tried to tell me)
I explained that not only was my cat best friends with our dogs, bit that I disapproved of the procedure and had no interest in hearing any more about it. This woman actually argued with me! She expressed how important it is to declaw any cat that lives with children or small dogs and then proceeded to tell me a 'horror story' of how her cat had damaged her dog's eye and it had to be removed.
I'm not sure why there's no many negative reviews on this place. My fiance and I have two cats and all the women at this establishment are wonderful. They sit and listen to my worried concerns and then give me reassurance on anything. This is our vet home, and we, as picky parents, love this place. Thank you to all the ladies that have helped us!
While the staff has moments of friendliness, my biggest problem is not their manner towards myself but towards animals in general. I am not convinced they have the animal's best interest at heart.
So much for being Humanitarians!!! I hope these "lovely ladies" burn in Hell!!!
